He is currently the Secretary-General of the Cameroon Civil Society NCD Alliance and the Central Africa Representative to the Africa NCDs Network. In October 2020, he was elected as the Chair of the Africa NCDs Network (ANN) Secretariat. since 2013, Ferdinant has built coalitions that have strongly supported work on NCD prevention and control in Cameroon and Africa. He has served as a Program Manager for NCDs with the CBC Health Services, one of Cameroon's leading health care providers; he is a One Young World Ambassador of the AstraZeneca Young Health Scholar Program, and a US Department of State Community Solutions Alumni. Ferdinant holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion from the Public Health Foundation of India. He is also a 2019 UICC Technical Fellow.

He is the founder and current Chairperson of the Young Professionals’ Chronic Disease Network ,Tanzania’s Chapter as well as Tanzania Young Researcher’s Forum (TYRF), a research forum nurturing young researchers in Tanzania. He is currently part of the national STEPS committee for implementing the WHO 2021 STEPS survey in Tanzania. He is a member of the National organizing committee of the National NCDs conference in Tanzania and the East Africa Representative to the Africa NCDs Network. He is also a member of the WHO’s Civil Society Working Group. Dr. Msengi has led and completed several research projects such as, an interventional study to combat childhood obesity in secondary school children, recently published in December 2020 by the East African Health Research Journal. He has co-authored several publications relating to NCDs and youth; represented youth on several national, regional and international Foras to mention; the World Health Assembly (70, 71), The WHO Afro Regional Committee Meeting (70) and the United Nations General Assembly (74).

Currently he is the Managing Director of Moyowathu HealthCare Services that provides quality, affordable and evidence-based healthcare services with special interest in Non-Communicable Diseases especially Hypertension. He is the Country Leader for May Measurement Month (MMM); a worldwide initiative aiming at creating awareness and providing screening services to people suffering from Hypertension He is a Member of the Regional Advisory Group (RAG) of The ISH for Africa, The Pan African Society of Cardiology (PASCAR) and The NCD Alliance Malawi.
